How did you start your hair/makeup journey?
When I went back to corporate work after having my first daughter I realised I didn’t love my job as much as I thought I did and I needed to find something I was passionate about. I left to study makeup but had no idea where it would lead me. Absolute leap of faith and I’ve never looked back.
How long have you been a Makeup Artist?
I graduated in 2013 but I started working on friends and family as soon as I got my college kit. So over 10 years!
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Knowing that I’ve helped my brides to make beautiful lasting memories of their wedding day.
What’s your least favourite part?
Washing brushes!!
Do you have a favourite venue and if so why is it your fave?
I don’t have a particular favourite but I love venues that are in the middle of nowhere. I love to drive so getting to go all over the Scottish countryside makes me really happy.
Where is the furthest you have been to do Makeup?
In the UK London and in Scotland would be Inverness (I live in Glasgow)
What venue/place would you love to go to for work?
I would LOVE to do an elopement in Italy. I speak a tiny bit of Italian and it’s the place I feel most at home in outside of Scotland.
Favourite makeup product in your kit?
My trusty airbrush! It’s my magic wand and all my clients love it.
What makeup item can’t you go without?
I always have concealer in my handbag. I’m really pale skinned so any blemishes, redness or dark circles show a mile away.
